Financial Hardship Payment Arrangements

In case of financial hardship, arrangements for extended payment terms can be made by contacting the City Clerk.  Utility charges are ultimately the liability of the property owner and if unpaid, water service may be subject to discontinuance.  In addition, charges may be subject to a lien on the property and certification to the County Treasurer for collection.

Seasonal Summer Averages

In the summer months volumetric rates are charged based on the actual volumetric usage during the months of November through April of each year.  For the months of May through October of each year, charges are based upon the average monthly volumetric usage for the previous November through April, or upon actual volumetric usage for the current bi-monthly usage, whichever is less.

Estimated Bills

If for some reason (dog, blocked meter, or tagged by the meter reader and no response has been given by the property owner) a meter cannot be read, the customer will receive an estimated bi-monthly bill of 40,000 gallons.
