The HPRC reviews all building and sign applications for properties within the Historic District or those otherwise designated for preservation. No building or sign permit may be issued for a designated property without the prior approval of the HPRC and issuance of a Certificate of Appropriateness.

Design Review Guidelines for Historic Structures
The Commission is a group of 5 members and up to 2 alternates, volunteers appointed by City Council.
Interested parties submit letter of interest at City Hall, via email cityclerk [at] idahospringsco.com (here) or mail to PO Box 907, Idaho Springs, CO 80452.
The Commission meets on the third Tuesday of each month. Meeting agendas are posted, in advance, by the front door of City Hall at 1711 Miner Street and on this website under the Watch Meetings section.
Applications for HPRC review must be submitted at least 5 days prior to the meeting in order to be included on the agenda.
