Xcel Energy’s Safe for Colorado Program

Safe for Colorado program:  If you have a qualifying medical condition, the Safe for Colorado program offers two types of support: (1) help with energy bills and (2) an optional program that provides extra communications—such as phone calls, emails, and TTY—during planned Public Safety Power Shutoffs or unplanned outages. Advance notifications are not required to enroll in the Medical Certification Program or Colorado Medical Exemption Program, and medical programs do not require enrollment in advance notifications.
