Effective, Friday, September 19, 2025, at 12:00 pm, the Clear Creek County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) is rescinding the Stage 1 Fire Ban that went into effect on August 12, 2025. The ban is being lifted due to a decrease in wildland fire danger resulting from recent precipitation, healthy fuel moisture levels, and lower temperatures.
We encourage residents and visitors to remain diligent and exercise caution with open fires. And we remind residents to register for Lookout Alert emergency notifications. In the event of an emergency, Lookout Alert is the quickest and most effective way to reach affected residents. Register for Lookout Alert at https://www.clearcreekcounty.us/781/Emergency-Notifications-system.
Residents can also subscribe to receive notifications about fire bans. When the Sheriff's Office issues or rescinds a fire restriction or ban, subscribers will be notified via text or email. To subscribe, visit https://www.clearcreekcounty.us/list.aspx, and scroll down to "Fire Ban."
